Musician
Bee is a community musician with a diverse portfolio of teaching and music facilitation work. Her focus is on music for health work and facilitating in SEND settings. Her practice is shaped through a personal journey of experiencing the restorative role of music through her own chronic health challenges and disability. Her current portfolio includes working as a musician and mentor for Songbirds Music UK doing therapeutic music in Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, working with blind and visually impaired clients through Amber Trust, and working with a council Music Hub pioneering music support interventions for children with additional needs in schools. The core of her approach is relational using music to facilitate meaningful connection, enable communication especially in non-verbal contexts, and give a voice to creativity and expression.
